She’s walking through the wood,
Daises in her hair,
A long silken dress,
Like the ones that pixies wear,
Her bare feet rustle the leaves,
As she walks forward at a slow pace,
She’s ever so thin and looks lonely,
With a sad look upon her face,
I make a sudden rustle in the bush were I am hidden,
She spins around fast and I know I am forbidden,
I shouldn’t be there watching her but I had seen her dancing at night,
From my bedroom window she’d visit the wood every night,
She would collect the daises that grew among the grass,
But I sneaked out tonight and I can see her properly at last,
I told Mum she might be a fairy but Mum says I’m going stupid,
“There’s no such things as fairy’s, there’s not even a cupid”
But why would someone dress like this… I’ve become very suspicious,
I’m hoping the young girl doesn’t know I’m here otherwise she could get vicious,
But she carried on looking around her then looked up at the sky,
Her eyes glinted by the light of the moon and she looked about to cry,
Then suddenly before my eyes, two wings formed and she sang lullabies,
A weird language in a gentle voice, her wings spread like they had no choice,
Slowly her feet raised from the ground, all around her silence, not a sound,
She faded into the clear dark sky, but if you listened careful you could still hear her cry,
Fading into the gentle breeze, I pulled myself up from my crouched knees,
Now I was alone in the wood, standing were she had just stood,
All along I knew she was an angel, a fairy, an illusion, my magical delusion
